Nokia announced the Lumia 1520 phablet at its Nokia World conference in Abu Dhabi.
The Lumia 1520 is Nokia's first phablet device, and shows that as well as trying to crack the tablet market with the Lumia 2520, the firm is also challenging Samsung's Galaxy Note 3 and the HTC One Max.
The Lumia 1520 has a 6in HD 1020p resolution display with Nokia's Clearblack technology. This is powered by a quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 processor, 2GB of RAM and the latest version of Microsoft's Windows Phone 8 mobile operating system, which adds an extra column of apps on the Live Tile homescreen.
Price
At its Nokia World conference on Tuesday, the firm announced that the Lumia 1520 smartphone will fetch $749 SIM-free, which translates to around £460. However, although unconfirmed, it's likely that UK punters will have to pay more.
Nokia was vague about the release date, saying that the phone will be available in the fourth quarter.
